All but one of my picks pulled back today with a loss of 0.5% to 4%, a little nerve racking but from what I've been reading stocks tend to pull back before holidays and long weekends as investors who don't have the stomach sell off shares. I took the opportunity to ramp up the positions of $WTSL in my SW and MM accounts and bought several shares at $1.02. I still suspect that this stock will climb to the $1.45 range before I pull the trigger.
I'm starting to get very frustrated with the quality of these mobile apps to paper trade with. Stock Wars has gone in to the 4th straight day of problems and the 2nd day of only showing pending orders but refusing to post new positions. Unfortunately for anyone actually following me that means my account balance for SW isn't accurate.
In addition to the ish with SW now the Market Millionaire app is not connecting and I am unable to get the thing up and running.
So with that said, I'll apologize now because I am not going to post an updated balance for either and I'm going to hold off on the "end of week" stat as well.
I can post updates for the Market Watch games though...

End of Day Update 07-02-14
Another day of gains and I'm working to keep the accounts green. Stock Wars did the whole pending trade thing again which is very annoying but I'll play around it now that I also have the Market Millionaire account going.
The only real big move I made today was taking profits from my positions of $WTSL. In the SW account and MM account I locked in profits of half of my large positions. I didn't take profits because I feel that the stock is about to enter a down trend... I actually think it will go higher before I step out of the position completely. I'm guessing somewhere in the $1.45 per share range. It's just that every guru I've heard have all repeated two key rules, cut losses early and don't get greedy because its smart to take profits along the way.
So I took profits :)
Also, just a fun mention, one of the few podcast shows I listen to (Mark J. Kohler Show) interviewed Timothy Sykes today. It has some of Tim's usual interview items but it also had some stuff that I had not heard yet. Mark Kohler also mentioned something about trading pennies within your ROTH 401K accounts which I'm going to look into as I get closer to trading real money. I have an active ROTH IRA with Sharebuilder with about $900 worth of stocks in it. I haven't touched it since the large BP oil spill where I bought 4 shares of BP around $20 a share. It's now trading for $53ish a share. I'm not sure if I'd trade pennies with the account but since I have a PERS3 account with the state's education department the ROTH account is just an extra.
I'll post what I find out about pennies and ROTH/401K's

A good day for me and I'm proud to say that a pick that I found all on my lonesome started it's climb and ended the day with a 12.09% gain ($WTSL). I'm still holding it on all accounts because I think this is only the beginning.

Vin Alerts added to the Tuesday Entries
I've been following the Vin Alerts blog for a little while now and found that his picks tend to go green with nice increases a few days out. He mostly trades the FOUS pattern which right up my alley.
I'm especially watching what takes place with $LIQD as there are a ton of insider buys just before the FOUS pattern and possible breakout.

End of Day Update 6-30-14
Just a FYI, today's numbers for the Stock Wars account are not accurate since the dang app refused to work correctly and my buy positions that were placed pre-market ($KBIO, $AVNW, and $BBLU) are STILL in a pending status. I'm not sure what the deal is but I sent an email to the app's makers to report the bug and hopefully it gets fixed because I do like the look and use of the app. The issue I have now is that my entry points are going to be messed up and if the app isn't fixed quickly the trades will not be worth it at all.
